Entry Description: Our theme was "Reading, Writing, Riverside". To showcase reading & writing, we had every child in the school write the name of their favorite book, in their handwriting on a sheet of paper. I then edited the individual writing samples, using photoshop, to make the cover, incorporating our logo for riverside. Throughout the book, we used quotes either from books or about reading or writing. Every staff member also gave the name of their favorite books. The hope was to encourage our students to branch out and be inspired to read new books. Or even write some of their own. The backgrounds for all the pages are murals that are painted throughout our school. We wanted the parents to know that our emphasis for the year was to encourage reading and writing.
